I chose to capture a landscape scene inspired by everyday views. I captured the same scene at three different times of day, Dawn, Midday, and Dusk, to illustrate the significant difference in the lighting for the same landscape scene. I enjoyed Dawn the most due to the variety of colours in the sky produced by the golden hour due to shooting in the east, the quiet, tranquil time to compose the shot and the soft, warm, diffused light. The Dusk image presented the most challenges as I had to increase my ISO significantly, introducing noise to my photo.

OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
I was inspired by the beauty found in everyday views, often overlooked in daily routines. The multiple rooftops create distinct architectural elements like the tiled roofs and chimneys. The muted, earthy tones of the buildings contrast with the dynamic sky. This scene evokes a sense of calm and contemplation, with the contrast between the warm sky and the rigid geometry of the rooftops.

OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
In contrast to the soft hues of the dawn scene, the clarity and brightness of the sky draw attention to the simplicity and openness of the scene, while the rooftops’ dark, angular lines provide structure and depth. This image creates a sense of comfort, vitality, and stability in a home during the quiet moments of a sunny day in a residential area.

This image was captured at 5:50 p.m. and shows an early evening scene with a deep, clear blue sky and darker tones as the light begins to fade. The lighting is softer compared to the earlier images, with the setting sun casting a subtle, cool-toned illumination. The window on the left, reflecting the bright light, stands out as a striking element in the rest of the scene.

OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
The darker tones of the roofs contrast strongly with the vivid blue of the sky in the midday image, emphasizing the shift to evening. The reflective window offers a focal point, indicating activity within the otherwise quiet, still scene.
This image conveys a sense of transition, marking the day's gradual shift into night. The cool tones and minimal elements evoke calmness and introspection.
