OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
Photo [1] at 1/50 captured the performer at the sharpest level, although the fire sword had motion blur.
Photos [1] 1/50 to [4] 1/15 still showed the outline of the fire sword, although it was increasingly blurry.
Photos [5] 1/13 to [11] 1.3s added increasingly significant blur to the performer and fire sword.
Photos [11] 1.3s completely blurred the performer and fire sword into one big bright circle.

As the shutter speeds became even slower, I struggled to capture handheld shots and would have needed a tripod to continue testing at even slower shutter speeds.

EQUIPMENT USED
Canon EOS R5

SCENE SET UP
Taking shots of a busy market from a rooftop restaurant.
Framed the shot around key subjects, a performing band and two men talking at the centre.

CAMERA SET UP
Set the Camera Mode to Manual
For the first group of shots of the performing band, I varied the aperture from F2.8 to F8.
I set the Aperture to F22 for the two men talking to decrease the amount of light reaching the lens.
Set the ISO to 100-200
Varied the focus length to zoom and frame the subjects|

SCENE SET UP
I stayed at the same location for Scene 2 until the nighttime to see the difference in the same location. I was taking shots of a busy market from the same rooftop restaurant. I framed the shot around the general busy market activity with no specific subject as the focus.
CAMERA SET UP
Set the Camera Mode to Manual
Most of the shots were taken with an F2.8 aperture except Photo [6], which was set to F8.
Most of the shots were taken with an ISO 200 aperture except Photo [5], which was set to ISO 100.
Most of the shots were taken with a zoom length of 70mm except Photo [6], which was set to 200mm.
The shots were captured at various shutter speeds.

OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
The first comparison I made was between Photo [1] at 1/10 and Photo [2] at 1/4. Photo [2] had much more blur than Photo [1], including slow-moving objects.
The second comparison was Photo [3] and Photo [4]. Both had the same shutter speed, but I introduced zoom blur in [4] by rotating the zoom lens.
The third comparison was Photo [5] at 1.3s and Photo [6] at 3.2s. Whilst some objects in the frame were still visible in Photo [5], Photo [6] completely blurred the entire scene.

CAMERA SET UP
Set the Camera Mode to Manual
I fixed the Aperture to F8 and the ISO to 200.
I varied the focus length to zoom and frame the image.
The shots were captured at various high shutter speeds from 1/1250 to 1/160.
I took the photos in both portrait and landscape orientation.

OBSERVATIONS & REFLECTIONS
Photo [1] at 1/1250 was able to freeze all the motion in the image, including the sky clouds, birds, smoke from the market, and people walking by.
Although Photo [2] at 1/400 was still able to freeze the motion, the sky clouds, smoke, and trees in the background are not as sharp as in Photo [1].
Photo [3] at 1/1250, Photo [4] at 1/1000, Photo [5] at 1/800 and Photo [6] at 1/160 were captured in portrait orientation and as the shutter speed was reduced, the level of detail in the sky clouds, people walking through the market reduced whilst the image brightness increased slightly.
