SCENE 1: THE SHARD FROM SOUTHWARK QUARTER
EQUIPMENT USED
Canon EOS R5
Canon 24-70 F2.8 L IS USM
SCENE SET UP
The sky was overcast, which diffused natural lighting and soft shadows across the scene. I composed the scene to ensure the modern architecture of The Shard contrasts with the older, ivy-clad brickwork of the Southwark Quarter. I followed the rule of thirds, with The Shard positioned off-centre, drawing the eye upward. I also used the horizontal and leading lines of the brick buildings and greenery to create a visual base.
